Shop 1920s Marinello Salon Advertisement Mirror

1920s Marinello Salon Advertisement Mirror

$0.00
Sold Out

A clever advertisement for fashionable ladies, this small mirror fits into a small purse easily and is a reminder of the best place in town for permanent waves- the Marinello-Naoma Beauty Shoppe, of course! Before Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubenstein, Marinello was, at the time, perhaps the largest beauty empire in existence. They sold textbooks, ran beauticians schools, and sold cosmetics and skincare. The Marinello-Naoma salon was likely one of their affiliated beauty shops which proudly advertised their exclusive use of Marinello products.

This mirror has a pearlescent laminated alligator texture with an elegant illustration of a lady sporting a chic finger wave. The full text reads:

Phone Plaza 3161 for appointment - Open Evenings - Marinello - Naoma Beauty Shoppe - Eugene - Realistic - Gabieleen - Permanent Waving - Hair Tinting a Specialty - All Branches of Beauty Culture including Electrolysis - 1504 E 67th St Chicago, Ill.

Mirror has minor water damage and desilvering expected with age. Additional condition photos available upon request.
