Clysmic Springs Water Tray

$0.00
Sold Out

Clysmic Springs, Clysmic meaning cleansing, was a natural spring in Waukesha, WI. It was purchased by a Mrs. Kate Hill in 1879 with an already agreed upon 20 year water lease with Judge John L. Lockwood from New York. Lockwood had the water from the Clysmic spring shipped to New York via tank car and bottled there, where it was sold in high end hotels and restaurants. After the lease was up and Mrs. Hill passes away (1907) the new owners started bottling water onsite until a brutal fire set ablaze the plant in 1915. They hobbled on through until 1919 but then sold the springs and company to White Rock Spring Company who eventually ceased operation on Clysmic Springs in 1920.

The tray has some neat metallic elements. The image features a risque woman, stag, waterfall, and a giant bottle of water. It is in decent condition. There are some scratches and chips in the paint. Some light rust spots as well.
